As a rising force in the
increasingly popular world of Contemporary Christian Rock music, Beloved have
made great strides with their tremendous amount of talented songwriting, solid
musicianship, vocal harmonies and hi-energy performances. A radio friendly band
that unites all groups of people, from all walks of life through their music,
they feature lots of catchy hooks and a ton of vocal harmonies. Although they
have been well received by both secular and Christian audiences, they are focused
and strongly united in leading people to Christ, through their music.
Forming in the dawn of the new millennium as the brain child of singer/songwriter,
John Moran and guitar prodigy, Brian Dunn, Beloved keeps alive the rich history
and magnetism of the revered guitarist/frontman relationship. Add to that a
relentless & seasoned rhythm section including Drummer, Will DeYoung (The
Ninth Hour) and Guitarist/Percussionist, Paul Newman (Smashing Idols) and you
have a recipe for a group striving to make a difference in a world that for
some appears hopeless. Their music not only inspires hope for all, but awakens
so many to the power of Christ and his promise of eternal life.
Before being saved, the
members of Beloved enjoyed regional and in some circumstances, national success
in popular secular bands in the NY Metropolitan area. Having performed countless
shows in NY City they have gained advantageous live experience and confidence,
while maturing into the stellar musicians they are today. Their electric stage
performance, powerful music and strong message have won the band accolades in
the Christian community including being voted New York's "Best Christian
Band"; and most recently, selected as finalists' in the Star 99.1 FM/Autumn
Blaze Backyard BBQ where they competed for an opening slot at Autumn Blaze 2004
featuring The Newsboys at the Continental Airlines Arena.
Their ongoing exposure to
recording artists, as well as industry executives has been invaluable for their
songwriting, recording and overall package they present to the listener. They
have spent a great deal of time, energy, and plain old, "hard work"
developing a "radio friendly" sound which has culminated in the release
of their new, self-titled CD, which already has brought them praise and ignited
international interest from the internet community.
Combining hard work, musical
talent, an unforgiving message of hope and the good news of salvation through
their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Beloved stand poised to make an impact
in both the Christian & secular community through one part music, one part
ministry and a whole lot of willingness to share it in any venue that they're
offered.
